How to reserve your date and what happens next
How do I book a session?
Booking is simple: send me a message through the contact page or WhatsApp with your preferred date and the type of session you’d like. I’ll confirm availability, answer any questions, and secure your slot with a small deposit. You’ll then receive a confirmation and a short guide to help you prepare.
Do you photograph seven days a week?
Yes — sessions are available seven days a week, including early mornings for that quiet, crowd-free light at the Radcliffe Camera and other landmarks. Early and late slots are the most popular, so they book up first.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens, and I’ll always do my best to find a new date that works. Just let me know as early as you can. For weather-affected outdoor sessions, rescheduling is straightforward — see the weather question below.

When your gallery arrives and how many images you receive
When will I receive my photos?
Your fully edited gallery is ready within 10 working days of your session — every session type, weddings included. The UK industry standard is 2–3 months for weddings and 2–4 weeks for portraits, so you’ll have your images while the day is still fresh. If anything ever affects this timeline, I’ll always tell you personally, in advance. deposit. You’ll then receive a confirmation and a short guide to help you prepare.
How many photographs will I get?
There’s no fixed cap and no upsell gallery — I include every image worth keeping. As a guide: a one-hour session typically yields 20–35 images, two hours 40–70, and three hours 60–100. The exact number depends on locations, pace and how many people are being photographed.
How do I receive and download the images?
Your photos arrive in a private online gallery you can view, download and share from anywhere in the world. Downloads are high-resolution and yours to keep. The gallery stays open for 30 or 60 days depending on your package, so you have plenty of time to save everything.
Can I order prints and albums?
Yes. You can order professional prints and wall art directly from your gallery, with worldwide shipping. For weddings I also offer professional photobooks from a European print lab, with a range of cover options and sizes.
Are the images edited?
Every image you receive is fully edited — colour, light and tone all finished to a professional standard. There are no unedited “proofs” to wade through; the gallery you receive is the finished work.

What a shoot feels like, what to wear, and being camera-shy
I am not photogenic and I hate being in front of a camera. Help?
You’re describing almost everyone I photograph — and it’s exactly what I’m here for. You don’t need to know how to pose; I’ll guide you gently through every position and expression, so you’re never left wondering what to do with your hands. Within a few minutes most people relax, forget the camera is there, and genuinely enjoy it. That’s when the best, most natural photographs happen.
What should i wear and bring?
Once you book I’ll send a short style guide tailored to your session. In general: wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident, avoid busy logos or slogans, and bring a layer in case it turns cool. For Oxford walks, choose comfortable shoes — the lanes are cobbled. Outfit changes are welcome on longer sessions.
Where will we take the photos?
That depends on your session. In Oxford I’ll take you to the spots I know look best — the Radcliffe Camera, the Bodleian Library, Turl Street, quiet college quads and the riverside — at the times the light is most flattering and the crowds are thinnest. For family and portrait sessions we can also shoot in Oxfordshire’s gardens and parks, or at your home.
Can you photograph a surprise proposal?
Absolutely — surprise proposals are one of my favourite things to capture. Let me know in advance and I’ll be in position discreetly, blending in as a tourist, so the moment stays entirely yours. Many couples then continue into a relaxed engagement walk straight afterwards.
Weather & visiting Oxford
British skies, international guests and getting here
What happens if it rains?
A little rain is no problem — an umbrella can even make a beautiful photograph, and I shoot confidently in all conditions. If heavy rain is forecast, we’ll simply reschedule for another day at no extra cost. I keep a close eye on the forecast before every session, so we’ll always plan around the weather together. In over a decade of shooting in Oxford, very few sessions have ever been disrupted.
I am visiting from abroad - can my family see the photos?
Yes. Your private gallery can be shared with family anywhere in the world, and prints can be ordered and shipped internationally directly from it. Your edited photos arrive within 10 working days, so they’re often waiting for you by the time you’re back home.
Do you do photos for tourists vising Oxford?
That’s one of my specialities — the Oxford portrait walk is a guided hour (or two) through the city’s most iconic locations, designed for visitors who want beautiful, framed-worthy photographs rather than phone snapshots. Perfect for couples, families and solo travellers making the most of a trip to Oxford.
Pricing & payment
What is included, deposits and tailored quotes
What is included in the price?
Every package includes all the edited photographs from your session for digital download, a private online gallery, and delivery within 10 working days. There are no image caps and no surprise fees — what you see on the pricing page is exactly what you pay. Print and album ordering is available on top, should you want it.
How much is a session?
Portrait and graduation sessions start at £279, Oxford portrait walks from £279, and intimate wedding coverage from £795. Family, children and personal portrait sessions all run from the same portrait packages. You’ll find every package laid out in full on the pricing page.
How does corporate and headshot pricing work?
Corporate work — headshots, personal branding and event coverage — is quoted individually, because every brief is different. Tell me your team size, location, hours and what you need delivered, and I’ll send a clear, tailored quote, usually within a working day. Start on the corporate & events page.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes — a 50% retainer secures your date, with the balance due before or on the day of the session. I’ll confirm the exact amount and payment details when you book. Everything is kept simple and transparent.
